We get our first inside look at what DC Studios boss James Gunn has in store for his next installment Superman The movie is finally here and it doesn’t disappoint. The first trailer gives us a glimpse at all the staples of the comic book characters – Kent Farm, the Daily Planet and Lois Lane – as well as elements that haven’t received the Hollywood treatment before, like Krypton the super dog.

Superman will hit theaters on July 11, 2025, as the first film in the DC Cinematic Universe reboot following Zack Snyder’s daring, controversial and ultimately ill-fated justice league Movie. Superman “2025” has David Corenswet donning the famous red boots of “The Kryptonian” and looks set to chart a new origin story for the comic book hero’s on-screen persona and propel him forward A long legacy moving forward.

Even though it’s just an initial trailer, there’s a lot going on in the trailer. Take a look:

The film begins with a flashback to the life of Superman Clark Kent, who bleeds out in the Arctic snow before being rescued by Krypton. We see Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent, plenty of slow-motion shots and some overly sentimental shots ; Like a kid holding up a Superman flag during a local humanitarian crisis, and a vague group of Metropolis citizens booing and cajoling Superman when he walks into a building.

Superman The year 2025 won’t just be about a super-powered alien adjusting to life on his new home planet, though. Additionally, Edi Gathegi stars as Mr. Fantastic, Isabela Merced stars as Hawkgirl, and Nathan Fillion stars as Green Lantern, who appears in the trailer At that moment, he was wearing one of the stupidest wigs I’ve ever seen. No idea how writer-director Gunn hoped to fit all of this into a movie that’s just under three hours long, but here we are.
