Switch 2 Joy-Con Leak Has Fans Speculating About New Features
Alleged Switch 2 leaks continue to gain momentum. The latest potential presentation shows a clear comparison between the upcoming console’s updated Joy-Con controllers and the existing ones. While none of the information is official, it lines up with other leaks and reports as fans eagerly await a full announcement from Nintendo about its Switch successor.
Latest images allegedly showing the Switch 2 Joy-Con appeared on the Chinese forum Baidu Tieba and were subsequently re-posted on Reddit. The photos show a black case with a neon blue connector protruding from the side. In addition to the rumors of a magnetic connector, there appears to be some sort of optical sensor that can be found under a computer mouse. Some fans speculate that it could provide inputs similar to the Switch 2’s trackpad if pointed downward.
These leaks could still be an elaborate fake, although the supposed Switch 2 Joy-Con in particular has a real serial number visible on the side. Latest rates new potential leaks during the holiday season The New Year also suggests that assembly at Chinese manufacturing plants is well underway, with devices getting into the hands of more people as they move through Nintendo’s supply chains.
Even if the leaks are true, big questions remain, such as how much all this will cost per copy. Existing Switch Joy-Cons typically cost $80 a pair.. With inflation and new functionality, could the Switch 2 Joy-Con cost rise to $100?? The only thing Nintendo has confirmed about its upcoming console is that it will be backwards compatible and announced before April of this year. This makes an official reveal fairly inevitable. At this rate, Nintendo risks someone posting a full video of the closet showdown if it waits any longer.
