TCL debuts QM6K TV series with enhanced QD-Mini LED technology

TCL unveiled the QM6K TV series at CES 2025, showcasing updates to its QD-Mini LED technology. The QM6K series includes features such as a Super High Energy LED chip that increases brightness by more than 50 percent compared to previous models.

A redesigned condensed microlens is said to improve light control, while an updated TCL Micro OD system improves backlight uniformity and reduces ghosting effects. The result is sharper images with a static contrast ratio of 7000:1 and a wide color gamut covering more than 98 percent of DCI-P3.

TCL also brings new processing features to the QM6K, including zero-latency transient response for reduced latency and a bidirectional 23-bit backlight controller that allows precise brightness adjustment. In addition, Halo Control Technology Suite combines hardware and software enhancements to improve picture quality across a variety of content types.

The new TVs support Dolby Vision IQ, Dolby Atmos, DTS Virtual:X and are equipped with a Google TV interface. Designed specifically for gamers, the QM6K series offers refresh rates of up to 288Hz thanks to Game Accelerator 288. The TVs feature a slim, bezel-less design for a stunning, modern look.
