The best MagSafe and Qi2 chargers for iPhones

Wireless charging isn’t as efficient as wired charging, but it’s certainly convenient—especially when you add magnets. most people have one iPhone 12 or later If you want a magnetic charger, you should buy a Qi2 charger. Any Qi2-certified charger can charge MagSafe iPhone at up to 15W—as fast as MagSafe On any phone except iPhone 16. Qi2 chargers are also cheaper than MagSafe-certified chargers, and there are more options. Unlike MagSafe, Qi2 is an open standard. There is currently only one Qi2 compatible Android phone – headset skyline – But we expect Google, and perhaps Samsung, to add Qi2 to phones in 2025.

Qi2 adds some much-needed simplicity to the magnetic charging ecosystem. The options that once consisted of MagSafe-certified chargers (made or authorized by Apple, capable of charging iPhones at 15W) and “MagSafe-compatible” chargers (made by third parties, capable of charging iPhones at 7.5W) are now replaced by Qi 2 .

Unless you can get a great deal or you have an iPhone 16, the only MagSafe certified charger worth considering is Apple’s new hockey puck. The 16 series iPhones can charge up to 25W on the new charger, using only the new charger. The new charger is also Qi2 certified, so it’s worth giving it a try.

Unless you’re an Android user, there’s no reason to buy a “MagSafe compatible” charger Magnetic phone case. Those original Qi phones will charge down to 5W on Qi2, but can charge at up to 10W using a regular Qi charger.

Best for iPhone 16 and 16 Pro

While Qi2 is just as fast as MagSafe on iPhone 12 to 15, Apple has shifted gears with the iPhone 16 generation. New phone has charging power of up to 25W Equipped with newer MagSafe charger — making it the best choice for the latest iPhone users. It’s great to see faster wireless charging, but it does mean you’re once again incentivized to buy Apple’s Puck instead of the cheaper, more widely available Qi2 option.

This time around, we have good reason to consider Apple Hockey. It’s Qi2 and MagSafe certified, so it will work with non-Apple Qi2 devices if implemented. And the company has at last Added version with 2m/6.6ft cable instead of only providing 1m/3.3ft cable which is too short. Get the longer one You will also need an AC power adapter as it does not come with an AC power supply. Both Anker Companies like Nomad offer smaller, cheaper options than Apple’s USB-C chargers. Especially Nomad’s, there’s a Beautiful flat design.

Best overall Qi2 charging pad

The latest version of Anker’s magnetic MagGo charging pad supports 15W Qi2 and comes with a five-foot USB-C cable.

Any Qi2-certified charger can charge any MagSafe iPhone at 15W (except iPhone 12 Mini and 13 Mini, which top out at 12W). If you just want a basic puck, we like Anker’s MagGo Qi2 Wireless Charging Pad. Its 5-foot cable is shorter than the 6.6-foot cable on Apple’s new MagSafe charger, but it’s also $20 cheaper. When you consider that Anker includes an AC adapter and Apple doesn’t, it’s more like $40 cheaper. Unless you have an iPhone 16 and really want 25W charging, the Anker Qi2 puck is better value.

Anker’s reliable old-school magnetic Qi charger (Model 313) has long been our top pick, and the 7.5W charger is still fine for overnight use if you get it for super cheap. But most people should spend the extra $10 and buy a Qi2 puck.

The Satechi 3-in-1 Foldable Qi2 Wireless Charging Stand is an excellent travel charger for those traveling with iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods. It folds flat and is compact enough to fit easily into a bag or carry-on pocket, and comes with a 45W power plug and prong adapter to cover most areas around the world. Its aluminum and faux leather construction is also sturdy enough, and its design is premium enough to become your main 3-in-1 charger on your desk when you get home. (There is another 2-in-1 version without Apple Watch chargerequally nice, but doesn’t come with an AC power supply.

Anker’s foldable 3-in-1 Smaller and more compact than the Satechi – it’s more like a bar of soap than a bar of chocolate – but it doesn’t include a pin adapter. Additionally, its lighter construction makes it easy to accidentally pick up the entire charger when you just want to pick up your phone, making it a more limited connection for home desktop use. It’s best suited for frequent travelers who don’t want to pack a home charger before every trip.

Best Qi2 3-in-1 home stand

The latest version of Belkin’s 3-in-1 BoostCharge Pro stand uses Qi2 technology for 15W wireless charging, and its sophisticated design allows the attached phone to be tilted. It also comes with a compact 36W USB-C power adapter.

In terms of three-in-one household products, Belkin “Tree” once again stands out. The latest version adopts the Qi2 standard while fixing some minor problems in the previous version. It now uses an included 36W USB-C power adapter instead of a giant plug with a barrel connector, and the raised Qi2 mount lets you tilt your phone at a variety of angles. Its nylon-wrapped USB-C cable isn’t detachable, but it’s at least about five feet long.

If you don’t mind spending a little money on something that looks and feels like OKthis Latest Nomad Stand One Max Makes a great home charger. It’s sleek and minimalist, mostly metal and glass, with previous modelwhich charges your iPhone horizontally without blocking the watch charger—allowed standby mode. Its biggest drawback is its non-tilt phone holder, and besides being expensive, you also have to also 30W power adapter on a budget.

Best Qi2 Desktop Charger

There’s a Qi2 pad on the front and a square pad on the back, three AC outlets and four USB ports. It can distribute up to 67W of power through a single USB-C port or between two USB-C and two USB-A ports.

Frankly, the staff is divided on the orb, but I’ve had it sitting on my desk for a while and I miss it. This Death Star-looking thing has a Qi2 pad on the front, two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, and three AC outlets on the back, with up to 67W of charging power between them. Yes, it looks like an octopus of cables when fully utilized, but it’s nice to have something within easy reach to charge your phone, laptop, and whatever else you’re using.

Best Qi2 Battery Pack

6,600mAh Qi2 power bank with sturdy built-in stand. It’s larger than it needs to be, but the stand is much sturdier than the flimsy stands on other magnetic power banks.

This foldable Qi2 battery pack doubles as a phone stand and has a capacity of 6,600mAh, enough to fully charge even an iPhone 16 Pro Max. If you prefer, you can also charge via the USB-C port. It’s not the thinnest Qi2 battery, but it’s sturdy enough to hold the phone in landscape mode without tipping over, which is nice.

edgeof Thomas Ricker likes this compact Qi2 car charger. It can be mounted on an air vent or dashboard and is cheap, but you have to supply your own power adapter. Since his testing, more Qi2 car mounts have been released and we have more in the queue, but this one is a good one!

Other chargers worth considering

Now that Qi2 is widely available, you can bet you’ll get at least something decent If it’s Qi2 certified and from a reputable brand. While our best products above don’t cover every make and model of charger on the market, we frequently test the following devices: Anker, Belkin, Cassettization, Murphy, nomad, Saji, Yoglin, Peak design, Zenand ESR. If one of the Qi2 chargers out there seems like a good fit for your specific needs and budget, it might be worth a try. When in doubt, check the retailer’s return policy and the manufacturer’s warranty if it doesn’t end up being to your liking.
