The best robot vacuum we saw at CES 2025 – and 4 others that impressed us
2025 has just begun, and it’s already shaping up to be a great year for robot vacuum cleaners. We’re seeing unprecedented innovation in this category at the show Computer Electronics Exhibition (CES), futuristic technology will hit store shelves near you this year, including robotic arms and robots that can climb stairs.

As I wandered the halls of CES this year, it became clear to me that robot vacuum cleaners are not what they were even five or six years ago. As robots capable of washing and defecating themselves become the norm, competitive advantage has shifted to looking elsewhere for innovation, developing more robotic aspects of the device. At CES this year, we looked at all the most innovative robot vacuums and picked the best ones.
1. Roborok Saros Z70
Best robot vacuum cleaner at CES 2025
The Roborock Saros Z70 is our pick for the best robot vacuum at CES 2025. This new robot vacuum and power mop will be available in the first half of the year. The five-axis arm is inserted into the robot body and automatically deploys.

During the first pass, the robot vacuum cleaner cleans the floors and records all temporary objects that it detects and recognizes on the floor. The Saros Z70 then makes a second pass across the floor to deploy the robotic arm to pick up items and place them in a predetermined location, then clean the space the item occupies.
As mentioned above, the Roborock Saros Z70 will go on sale later this year, but the price has not yet been announced.
2. Dream X50 Ultra
Best robot vacuum cleaner for high thresholds at CES 2025
The Dreame X50 Ultra is an all-new robot vacuum cleaner and mop that is an upgraded version of the previous X40 Ultra model. This robot is so unique that it can climb short steps up to 6 cm high in total, thanks to new robotic legs that lift the robot when it gets close to a step it can overcome.

The robot vacuum cleaner features a new dual-roller brush system that directs dirt and debris to one side of the robot body, where the nozzle is now located. This approach effectively prevents hair tangling because the hair slides off the roller brush towards one end rather than remaining in the middle of the brush trying to get caught in the brush head.
The best part? Dream X50 UltraThe suggested retail price is lower than its predecessor, the $1,900 X40 Ultra. The new Dreame X50 Ultra has a suggested retail price of $1,700, but is priced at just $1,310 in the early pre-order offer.
3. Mova B50 Ultra
Best suction power among robot vacuum cleaners at CES 2025
The strongest suction robot vacuum on the market comes from a brand you’ve probably never heard of. After several years of operation in Europe and Asia, Mova enters the US market with the Mova V50 Ultra robot vacuum cleaner and mop with 24,000 Pa suction power. This is the strongest suction we’ve ever seen, the next level up includes the Roborock Saros Z70 and Eureka J15 Max Ultra, both of which have 22,000Pa of suction.

The Mova V50 Ultra has a floor cleaning function with dual rotating pads, a retractable side brush and mop pad, and is equipped with a retractable LiDAR sensor that fits into the robot when it detects something it needs to clean under furniture.
4. Ecovacs X8 Pro Omni
Best robot vacuum cleaner at CES 2025
Ecovacs’ new X8 Pro Omni is the company’s latest robot vacuum and mop, launching with an OZMO retractable roller mop instead of rotating pads. Mop technology developed by partner Tineco ensures the robot is always mopping floors with clean water rather than dragging around a dirty pad. The mop constantly cleans the robot body, which has two reservoirs for clean and dirty water.

The X8 Pro Omni, launched in February this year, features 18,000Pa suction power on the vacuum side, professional navigation that creates a real-time 3D map of the environment, and advanced artificial intelligence to navigate complex environments.
5. Narwhal Stream
Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner for Carpets at CES 2025
The latest version of Narwal Flow is the company’s new flagship robot vacuum cleaner with an updated logo and new technologies built into the robot. This robot vacuum and mop also features a roller instead of dual rotating mop pads, but its biggest strength is its vacuum.
Deep Carpet Boost technology automatically increases suction when it detects carpet and lowers the roller brush to reach deeper into carpet fibers, reaching dust and dirt that would otherwise be missed by other machines.
Honorable Mentions
- Yedi S14 Pro: The new Yeedi S14 features the same OZMO roller technology as the Deebot X8 Omni, with TrueEdge 2.0 adaptive cleaning and ZeroTangle 2.0 technology. This robot vacuum cleaner and mop will go on sale in March.
- Eureka J15 Max Ultra: The Eureka robot vacuum is smart enough to detect clear liquids in front of it, turn off the suction, and turn to mop the liquid up with mop pads. It will hit the market in June for $1,299.
- SwitchBot K20+ Pro: This is the best multi-tasking robot vacuum cleaner launched at CES 2025. It is a self-cleaning robot vacuum cleaner with an overhead platform that connects to the robot for navigation. The platform is designed to transport items around the house, but it also has various ports for connecting a camera and, for example, for a robot to monitor your home.
