The Flash Director Andy Muschietti Says It Failed Because ‘A Lot of People Just Don’t Care About the Flash as a Character’

Flash Director Andy Muschietti said his DC Extended Universe film flopped at the box office because “a lot of people just don’t care about The Flash as a character.”

Talking to Radio You and translated DiversityMuschietti said the superhero film failed to attract the attention of the “four quadrants” (a film industry term meaning appeal to everyone) enough to justify its $200 million budget.

The Flash flopped, among other reasons, because all four sectors didn’t like the movie. That’s where he failed,” Muschietti said. “When you spend $200 million to make a movie, [Warner Bros.] even wants to bring your grandmother to the theaters.

“What I’ve found in private conversations is that a lot of people just don’t care about Flash as a character. Especially the two female quadrants. It’s all just the wind blowing against the film that I’ve come to know.”

The four quadrants, as defined by Hollywood, are men under 25, men over 25, women under 25, and women over 25.

Muschietti’s mention of “all the other reasons” why The Flash failed is probably referring to his poor criticism. criticism of the use of computer-generated imagery (CGI) including recreate deceased actors without consulting their familyits placement at the end of the now-defunct cinematic universe and more.

However, this doesn’t seem to have stopped DC from keeping Muschietti around as He will reportedly direct the film “The Brave and the Bold.”The first Batman film in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new DC Universe.
