However, while all of these phones are equipped with sensors capable of determining if a crash has occurred, the crash detection feature does not appear to be enabled on any of these devices in any region. We couldn’t find any resources or user reports about the feature, nor is it available in the Settings app, so we’re inclined to believe Samsung is still working on the feature (unless we missed the silent rollout).

The car crash detection wake-up sensor on these Samsung devices is said to be a composite sensor, a virtual sensor that processes and fuses data from the underlying physical sensors. The version of One UI is as old as One UI 5.1.1. There is a hidden system app called “MoccaMobile” that contains the code to start and stop the crash sensors, but Samsung has not activated any user interface related to the crash detection feature.

We’ll have to wait and see whether Samsung will eventually release car crash detection features on the Galaxy S25 series. Thanks to the presence of this sensor, buyers of the new flagships can rest assured that their phones will have the feature as soon as it becomes available.
