The SwitchBot K20+ Pro is a multitasking robot vacuum, security bot and more

The multi-tasking household robot SwitchBot K20+ Pro is a robot vacuum cleaner, delivery assistant, mobile security guard and much more.

It’s fair to say that SwitchBot has never followed tradition. With the SwitchBot K20+ Pro announced at CES 2025, the smart home company has released its most flexible modular product yet.

Multitasking mobile robot

At its core, the SwitchBot K20+ Pro is a mini robot vacuum designed to clean your home and get into places where other, larger robots can’t fit. The main difference between this robot vacuum and competing robot vacuums is the FusionPlatform that sits above it.

Instead of a traditional fixed docking station, the FusionPlatform is mobile, capable of moving around the home and working with a variety of accessories to complete household tasks. These include:

  • Smart Delivery Assistant: The mobile platform can support up to 8kg and can be used to move items around the house, such as delivering drinks and food to the elderly.
  • Mobile Security Guardian: Add a SwitchBot Pan/Tilt Cam Plus 2K or 3K and the robot can patrol your home with a security camera, keep an eye on your pets, and generally get a wider view of your home than a traditional fixed camera can provide.
  • Air purifier kit. Instead of simply purifying a room, the air purifier kit allows the K20+ Pro to move from room to room, purifying the air in each room it enters.
  • K2+ Pro Combo: With this addition, FusionPlatform gets a cordless handheld vacuum, so you can manually clean small areas or clean up spills that the robot vacuum couldn’t or couldn’t handle.

SwitchBot S20 Pro floor cleaning robot

While the K20+ Pro may be making headlines, SwitchBot has also announced a slightly more traditional product, the S20 Pro floor cleaning robot. Updated version SwitchBot S10The new S20 Pro features a retractable side brush and retractable cleaning roller for better edge finishing. They’re both nice to look at, as one of my complaints about the S10 was that its performance wasn’t very good. The suction power of 15,000 Pa will allow the robot to cope well with heavy dirt, even on the carpet.

Two docking stations are available: one with a regular water tank, the other with an automatic fill and drain system. In addition, the S20 Pro is also compatible with the S10 water station and humidifier, where the robot automatically fills the humidifier reservoir.

SwitchBot Lock Ultra

SwitchBot Lock Ultra builds on the success of excellent SwitchBot Lock Pro. The company says the new product is compatible with 99.9% of existing locks, including deadbolt, mortise and Jimmy Proof locks, with custom 3D printed solutions available for additional locks when standard installation is not possible.

The lock supports keypad, fingerprint, smartphone, NFC and voice unlocking, and the triple power system is designed to reduce the risk of locking out due to the lock running out of power. This lock supports Matter through a compatible SwitchBot hub.

Video intercom SwitchBot

Competing with the likes Video intercom with ring battery ProSwitchBot Video Doorbell is a 2K resolution smart doorbell. It has a 165° field of view and supports up to 512GB of internal memory. The company says the doorbell is battery-powered and can last for 20 months before needing to be recharged.

A standout feature is the included SwitchBot Monitor, a portable 4.3-inch screen that allows you to open the door without using a smartphone or smart display, making it an attractive choice for seniors and children. Using Wi-Fi direct relay, the screen will work even if there is a network failure.

Pricing is not yet known, but the products will go on sale in the second quarter of this year.
