These Apple Invites features are only available for certain users – 9to5Mac

This week, Apple released a new iPhone application called “invitations” (download here). This is an interesting way to organize events with others. But he also has several functions that are available only for certain users. Here is who can use the new Apple application and its various functions.
Installation of the application of invitations

Who can do this? IPhone users that control iOS 18
No, the Invites application is not available on Android.
It is also unavailable for iPhone users who still work with iOS 17 or older. The new Apple application requires the latest version of the OS, iOS 18, which was launched last fall.
Creation of new invitations

Who can do this? iCloud+ or Apple One subscribers
If you want to create your own invitation to the event, you need to become a subscriber ICloud+.
ICLOUD+ is an Apple paid service that provides an additional ICLOD storage place, as well as some other pleasant functions such as ICLOUD Private Relay, hide my email, safe Homekit video and much more.
Even if you just use the most affordable Apple plan $ 0.99 per month iCloud+ iCloud+, you can create and send invitations.
PSA: If you subscribe to which Apple One Bundle, then ICLUD+ and Apple invitations are already included.
Accepting the invitation

Who can do this? Anyone who has an email address
If you are at the reception end of Apple invited, and someone sends you an invitation to the event, you can accept or reject it without being ICLOUD+subscriber.
You don’t even need to have an Apple account.
All you need is your email address.
The collaboration of the playlist

Who can do this? Apple Music subscribers
Invitations allows you to create a common Apple Music playlist for your event where guests can cooperate. This is a great way to allow your participants to contribute to the soundtrack of the event.
You, as the creator of events, have to have an active Apple Music subscription to create a common list of playback. This will probably not surprise anyone.
Unfortunately, this requirement also applies to your invitations. In order for guests to make any changes to the general list of reproduction, they must be the Apple Music subscribers themselves.
Employees of a common photo album

Who can do this? Apple account users
One of my favorite features of Apple is the opportunity to add a common photo album to your event.
This can be a great universal center for your guests to share all the photos and videos that they shoot, and for you to do the same with them
To take part in the general album of the event, you will need an Apple free account. But you don’t even need an iPhone or an Apple device because Invites allows you to upload photos directly from the web version to icloud.com/invites.
