These are my favorite Find My accessories this holiday season [Updated]

Today, there is a robust Find My Accessories ecosystem on the market. All of these accessories would make great holiday gifts this year in a variety of different form factors.

What better gift than giving someone a way to keep track of their most important possessions? That person will thank you for years to come.

As a refresher, the Find My accessory broadcasts low-energy Bluetooth signals received by nearby Apple devices. They do not rely on GPS technology. Instead, the location is transmitted securely and privately to the Find My network. This means that even if you are miles away, your Find My-enabled items can be located as long as someone with an Apple device happens to be nearby.

You wouldn’t have a list of the best Find My accessories without including Apple’s AirTags. Equipped with a U1 chip that supports precise search, built-in speakers, and more, AirTags are a must-have addition to luggage, backpacks, keys, and other accessories.

AirTags have also improved significantly since their initial release in April 2021. New anti-tracking features, Escalation notification alert,etc.

AirTags aren’t without their drawbacks, as they only come in one form factor, lack built-in attachment mechanisms, and are nearly four years old. Still, they represent the best way to kickstart a Find Me ecosystem.

Chipolo’s Find My Ecosystem

While Apple’s AirTags come in a single form factor, Chipolo makes two different trackers that are fully compatible with Apple’s Find My ecosystem. This means you can add them to the Find My app and track them alongside your Apple products. They can also leverage the Find My ecosystem of Apple devices and AirTags to share their latest location information.

• Chipolo cards in stock: The credit card-shaped tracker integrates the “Find My” function. Perfect for slipping into your wallet so you don’t lose it.

• Chipolo one: An AirTag-shaped tracker with Find My integration, but with a built-in keychain hole so you don’t need an additional case or accessory device.

SwitchBot Wallet Finder

mine Colleague Benjamin Mayo just commented SwitchBot Wallet Finder describes it as “a very useful accessory for keeping track of your wallet” using your iPhone and the Find My ecosystem. In addition to being shaped like a credit card to slide into your wallet, it also comes with a built-in key ring holder. This allows for easy attachment to items such as lanyards or backpacks.

“Find My Ecosystem” by Pebblebee

Another card-like option for the Find My network is Pebble Bee Tracking Card. The main difference with this product is that the battery is rechargeable. The above options of Chipolo and SwitchBot do not have rechargeable or replaceable batteries. The Pebblebee tracking card has a battery life of up to 18 months and can be charged using a USB-C cable.

In addition to the tracking card, Pebblebee also sells two other accessories that support Find Me. pebble bee clip It’s a small tracker that looks similar to an AirTag, but has a built-in keychain holder. It has a battery life of up to 12 months and can be charged using a USB-C cable.

Finally, there is Pebblebee Tracker Universal Tags Integrate with Find My. It features an ultra-small form factor, up to 8 months of battery life, and a USB-C charging port.

While I usually recommend purchasing a standalone Find My tracker, there are also backpacks on the market that integrate Find My directly. Swissdigital and Hyper both offer backpacks with Find My integration.
