- The Dreo ChefMaker 2 air fryer was introduced at CES 2025.
- It can turn scanned recipes into step-by-step cooking programs.
- It will go on sale in August, but its price has not yet been announced.
Kitchen appliance company Dreo has released a new air fryer that uses artificial intelligence to transform recipes into smart cooking programs—whether they’re pulled from websites or scanned from cookbooks.
Recipes written for full-size ovens usually require significant modifications to work well in the air fryer, but the Dreo ChefMaker 2, which debuted on CES 2025should make this problem a thing of the past. No more burnt fries or dull, deflated cakes—the air fryer can handle the hard work of calculating new times and temperatures for your favorite foods.
Original Where is the ChefMaker easily one of best air fryers we’ve ever tested, and our reviewer Michelle Ray Yu found that each of the many cooking modes produced consistently excellent results, so I’m cautiously optimistic about the second-gen’s AI-enhanced capabilities.
What’s cooking?
If you want to try cooking something new, Dreo ChefMaker 2 also includes a bank of 100 pre-programmed recipes in the mobile app that you can follow in your kitchen with step-by-step instructions. For peace of mind, you can also monitor the cooking process in real time.
Dreo ChefMaker 2 is due to be released in August. We don’t know how much it will cost yet, but the list price for the original ChefMaker at launch was $359/£279 (about AU$540), so I’d expect it to be similar, if not a little more expensive.
