This is our best look yet at the Nintendo Switch 2

We are looking forward to the launch Nintendo Switch 2which the company has confirmed for the current financial year. So, until March 31, 2025, we will be able to take our first official look at the successor original switchthe product that reignited the passion for portable gaming consoles. While we’ve already seen several leaked renders and dummy modules, we now have one of the cleanest leaked Switch 2 renders yet.

The dimensions of the Nintendo Switch 2 with Joy-Cons attached are reported to be 271 x 116.4 x 31.4 mm, which is larger than the dimensions of the current Switch OLED and the original Switch. The Switch 2’s display size is said to be 8.4 inches, compared to the Switch OLED’s 7-inch display and the standard Switch’s 6.2-inch display. Even the Joy-Cons on the Switch 2 are said to be larger, measuring 116.4 x 40.8 x 31.4mm.

These renders clearly show the power button, volume rocker, 3.5mm headphone jack, amazing USB-C port, game card slot and other ports/sensors that we can’t recognise. The docking port and speaker grille are visible at the bottom of the device.

We also noticed a U-shaped kickstand on the back of the device, which should make it easier to use the device in stand mode.

The Joy-Cons are also quite familiar, although they are larger. Some additions are a new button located above the Home button and trigger buttons on the back next to the ZL and ZR buttons (possibly used to detach controllers from the Switch 2).

Considering how quickly hardware leaks appear, we think an announcement may be imminent. Release Switch 2 already, Nintendo!
