I patrolled the halls CES 2025 in search of all things strange and wonderful. And now, a keyboard inspired by a loaf of bread. Ideal. It’s done, now I can go home.
This is Bun Wonderland from Monsgeek, a company I’m not too familiar with, but it turns out it’s actually Akko, which I’ve seen many times before. Back in 2022, we reviewed the mysteriously named Akko gaming keyboard. Akko Prunus Lannesiana 3098B. The name Bun Wonderland is at least simpler. I spotted it parked next to a horde of hamster mice (a group of hamsters is called a horde, which is great).
Each key represents either a loaf of bread, a sentient loaf of bread with a smiley face scrawled on it, or the outside of a bakery. This makes for an interesting setting for the world that this keyboard exists in, where bread is either alive or an object, and yet it is still sold for money. But if you ignore that, it’s extremely delicious.
There are a number of switches inside. full size MG108B And 75% MG75V version of this keyboard, including V3 Pro Piano or Creamy Cyan from Akko. I believe the OEM of these switches is Akko/Monsgeek owner, Shenzhen Yinchen Technology Co. ltd as I was provided with a catalog containing all the key specifications. The V3 Pro Piano is a linear switch with 3.10mm travel and 45gs of force. The creamy blue color is not listed in the book, but I believe it is a tactile option. You can also choose a couple of different profiles for the switches, which is a pretty convenient option.
This is a new product, first released last month, and it’s already available on Amazon for a pretty reasonable price. US$95. For that money, you could buy a more capable gaming keyboard, as many of them do best gaming keyboards we recommend confirming, but if you prefer a cute aesthetic, this is something. Oh yeah, that’s definitely something.
