This Matter-Enabled Robot Vacuum Can Pick Up Dirty Laundry
Smart vacuum cleaner company Roborock this week showed off its latest vacuum cleaner – Roborok Saros z70. The vacuum cleaner supports Matter technology, which means it will be able to connect to Apple at launch. HomeKit tune.
Apple promised to add support for robotic vacuum cleaners iOS 18and it looks like this functionality will be go to iOS 18.3update due to be released later this month. There are already several Matter-enabled robot vacuum cleaners on the market, but the Roborock Saros z70 has a unique feature – an arm that can lift and remove objects from its path.
A foldable five-axis mechanical arm extends from the robot body and can be used to pick up items weighing less than 300g, such as shoes, trash and dirty laundry, so that the floor underneath can be vacuumed. He can move objects to their designated places, such as putting away shoes.
There are built-in cameras that can detect objects and obstacles, as well as a few other bells and whistles. The vacuum can track pets and send photos, it can go over small bumps and thick carpet, and it has FlexiArm side brushes to get dirt out of corners. It also has a mopping function, so it can both vacuum and mop floors.
With the Roborock app, the Saros z70 can be operated manually to see the house and interact with pets, and the user can lift and move objects using the built-in hand.
Pricing for the Roborock Saros z70 hasn’t been announced, but high-end robot vacuums can cost upwards of $1,500, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see the price go even higher. Roborock plans to release a vacuum cleaner this spring.
