Tim Cook told us how Apple will change the world, but it’s finally taking shape

Apple is known for creating game-changing products. It does this across all areas of hardware, software and services. But it’s natural to always be looking for the next big thing. Interestingly, Apple CEO Tim Cook has already told us what it is – and now it’s starting to take shape.

Looking for the “next big thing” that already exists

Every year, Wall Street and tech followers like to pose the question: What’s Apple’s next big thing?

A product with the impact of an iPhone, whether it’s a new car, artificial intelligence, or something completely different and game-changing.

While it’s probably unfair to expect Apple to roll out such huge new innovations every few years, the company has earned the pressure to some degree with its history of success.

But what’s the next big thing for Apple?

Cook has made numerous comments over the years that he believes Apple will be the biggest world changer. Apple will make the greatest contribution to society.

What’s his answer? healthy.

This is Cook in the most recent wired interview:

It’s clear to me that if you look ahead and look back and ask what Apple’s greatest contribution is, it’s going to be in health. That’s what I truly believe.

“Health” is a seemingly abstract concept, but at Apple, it mainly refers to wearable devices.

Health and wearables: Two inseparable bets for Apple’s future

Apple’s health relies on its product partners: wearables.

Apple currently offers three major categories of wearable devices:

  1. apple watch
  2. AirPods
  3. imagine

The Apple Watch has been a huge success, and so have the AirPods.

Vision Pro is just getting started, but it has a bright future.

However, in all three cases, there is still huge potential for growth.

This is true for a variety of reasons. But health is a particularly critical part of this story.

In many ways, health can transform Apple’s wearables from “must-haves” to near-indispensables.

Health will have the biggest impact on Apple through wearables

Therefore, they may seem a bit exaggerated.

Then just two months ago, Apple added Major new health features AirPods Pro 2. even more It is said On the road.

You have to think that the Vision Pro and its successors will be next. Already have:

  • Great mindfulness apps in VisionOS
  • powerful Live subtitles For Deaf people and more
  • Future headphones won’t weigh as much and will undoubtedly provide a compelling Apple Fitness+ experience.

With three wearable products all venturing into the health space in the future, it’s easier to see things from Tim Cook’s perspective.

If wearable devices can save your life, improve your hearing, and otherwise significantly improve your health, you’ll never want to be without them.

Tim Cook on Apple’s next big thing: Summary

Apple’s ambitions in health and wearables are still in the early stages. But the works of the past decade help set the stage for a particularly exciting decade ahead.

They also prove that we should probably take Tim Cook’s words more seriously.
