
What to Expect From the HomePod Mini 2 Rumored to Launch Next Year
It’s been more than four years since Apple released the product HomePod mini Come November 2020, the wait for new models may soon be over.
Below, we review the rumors surrounding the next-generation HomePod mini.
BurundiMark Gurman reported last week that New HomePod mini will be released next year. He said that this speaker will be equipped with Apple’s own Wi-Fi and Bluetooth combination chip. Support Wi-Fi 6E. It’s unclear whether the new HomePod mini will enable the chip’s Wi-Fi 6E support, but if so, it would allow for faster wireless connections compared to the current model’s Wi-Fi 4 support.
While there are no other rumors yet, possible upgrades to the next-generation HomePod mini include Newer “S” chip, improved sound quality, second generation ultra-wideband chip for a lower-latency switching experience, and New color options. The current HomePod mini is powered by the S5 chip, which debuted in 2019’s Apple Watch Series 5.
According to reports, in addition to the new HomePod mini, Apple also plans to release a Brand new smart home center As soon as March next year. The hub is expected to feature a 6-inch display and can be mounted on the wall or connected to a desktop base through speakers, so the device may be similar to the HomePod mini in some aspects.
It’s unclear whether the next-generation HomePod mini will have Siri improvements because, unlike the home hub, the speaker isn’t expected to receive Apple Intelligence support.
