WhatsApp working on a way for you to forward a message to Meta AI

WhatsApp is working hard to make Meta AI even more useful, and with the help of upcoming updates, you can get more context about the messages you receive.

WhatsApp has been working to combat scams and fake news on its platform. Now, a new feature is being developed that will allow you to forward messages to Meta AI so you can get more context about them.

Meta AI has been present on WhatsApp since April this year. AI chatbots can answer your questions, provide advice, generate content, and more. However, previously you could not forward incoming messages or media into a chat with Meta AI. But that appears to be about to change.

You can now send media or messages to Meta AI by copying and pasting them into a conversation with the chatbot. Additionally, you can add your questions with forwarded messages using the new Ask a question box, which will appear at the bottom when you forward to Meta AI. If you choose not to provide context when forwarding a message to an AI chatbot, it will simply analyze the message as-is and generate a response. If you want it to check the authenticity of a message, it’s a good idea to ask questions like “Is this information accurate?” so Meta AI knows how you want it to handle forwarded messages.

Currently, this feature is under development. It’s unclear when it will be rolled out to the public, but hopefully sooner rather than later.
