If you’ve been browsing the ads for the best business laptop at CES 2025, look no further than HP EliteBook Ultra G1i. In our review of Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite HP EliteBook Ultra G1q Last year, one of the few issues with the EliteBook Ultra was potential software incompatibility due to Qualcomm’s ARM-based chip. The new Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processor in the EliteBook Ultra G1i eliminates any such issues.
Here’s a closer look at what convinced us it was the best business laptop at CES 2025.
Best Business Laptop CES 2025: HP EliteBook Ultra G1i
Why does he win
HP EliteBook Ultra G1i was the best business laptop debut at CES 2025 because, like many winners, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. While the specs, which include an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, up to 32GB of RAM, and up to 2TB of SSD storage, are impressive, the overall package delivers a powerful machine right out of the box.
And HP didn’t try to reinvent the wheel in the business laptop category, which is a feature, not a bug. It’s similar to the ubiquitous MacBook design, and that’s fine. Few executives need flashing RGB lighting. Instead, the EliteBook Ultra G1i focuses on results and security. Results will be achieved faster with AI, thanks to an NPU with up to 48 TOPS (tera operations per second) performance that works with Windows 11’s AI features. HP is also promoting its own Wolf Security features, which are essential for enterprise-grade businesses.
Release and Availability Summary
The price of this powerful and elegant business laptop, full of original solutions, is expected to be around $2,000. HP’s website says availability is “coming soon,” but an HP spokesperson said Notebook magazine that the EliteBook Ultra G1i will go on sale on January 31, 2025.
