Xiaomi Pad 7 in for review
Today with us Xiaomi Pad 7. Launched in China back in October last year, the Pad 7 is finally getting a wider release starting in India.
The model we have is an Indian model and is identical to the model released in China. Starting with the design, you get an all-aluminum body with no visible antenna lines. The device is only 6.18mm thick and weighs 500g.
On the front, there is an 11.2-inch IPS LCD display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a resolution of 3200×2136. The display has a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz and a claimed peak brightness of 800 nits. The device also supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision.
An additional feature of the Pad 7 is a nano-texture display, which adds a matte layer on top that reduces the display’s reflectivity to a claimed 65% and provides a paper-like texture. Of course, as you can see from the photos, our review unit does not have this coating and is only available in certain configurations.
The Pad 7 in India is powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip as the Chinese model, with up to 12GB LPDDR5X memory and up to 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. Other features include a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide front camera, a quad-speaker system with Dolby Atmos, an IR blaster, and Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS 2. Finally, there is an 8850mAh battery with 45W turbo charging.
In terms of accessories, Xiaomi also launches a keyboard called Focus Keyboard, which includes a trackpad and adaptive backlit keys. The keyboard attaches to the Pad 7 magnetically and interacts using pins on the back of the device. The company also launches the Focus Pen, which has 0g activation strength, 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity, and ultra-low latency.
Xiaomi Pad 7 will be available in three colors: graphite grey, sage green and mirage purple.
