You can now buy Severance on Blu-Ray disc

The physical copy was released a month before the Season 2 premiere, so if you have friends who haven’t watched the show yet, this could be a great last-minute gift to get them caught up before Season 2 starts in January 17th.

Severance is one of the few Apple original series lucky enough to have a physical release. Conventionally, Blu-rays are released a few years after their streaming debuts, and only in 1080p quality.

Unfortunately for Severance, that’s still the case, and the Blu-ray is in HD and only comes with a 5.1 surround track. The complete nine episodes of the show’s first season are spread across three discs.

To get the highest quality 4K HDR video with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack, you still need to Apple TV+.

“Severance” has been a hit since its launch in February 2022 and has received critical acclaim, including 14 Emmy Award nominations.

With the current season coming to an end, fans are already impatiently waiting for the end of season two. But industry strikes and other production delays have put work in limbo… Season 2 of “Severance” will finally premiere in January 2025, nearly three years after the first. A third season is believed to be in development.
