Are you free on the weekend?
While some thought this might just be Apple promoting what was coming, a later post revealed the truth – a free weekend.
The company does offer a one-week free trial when you sign up, and a three-month free trial with the purchase of certain Apple devices, but this will be the first completely free weekend. It appears Apple will offer the entire catalog as well, as the company’s press release didn’t mention any limitations.
Apple TV+ currently costs $9.99 per month and offers popular programming such as “The Morning Show,” “Pinball” and “Palm Royale,” as well as exclusive MLB and MLS games. It is also available as Extras for Amazon Prime Video At the same price.

While the content on Apple TV+ has been nominated for multiple awards and often receives high praise from critics, the service has struggled to compete with big names like Netflix and Prime Video (at least According to audience survey).
To take advantage of free Apple TV+, you need an Apple ID. If you own any Apple products, you already have one. If you are an Android/Windows user, you can register for free. Once you have your ID card, simply visit https://tv.apple.com Sign in. Apple did not specify when free viewing will begin on January 4.
